Acquired with private equity in early 2011, the development was planned as a high-quality residential scheme designed to make effective use of a well-located urban site and deliver new family housing in a popular London neighbourhood.

Essential Land, in joint venture with Galliard Homes, acquired two cleared land parcels in Islington with a combined acquisition value of £1.5 million.

The sites, previously used for parking, presented an opportunity to deliver a high-quality mews housing development in a well-connected London location. Essential Land acted as development facilitator, helping to unlock the potential of the sites and progress the planning strategy.

The proposals focused on creating a sensitively designed residential scheme that would make better use of underutilised urban land, while responding to the scale and character of the surrounding area.

Following planning consent, Galliard Homes would lead the development and sale of the new homes.

David Mews is an exclusive development of three beautifully designed three-bedroom family homes in the heart of the West Greenwich Conservation Area.
